End of Season Tournaments (Farm AA, Minors and Majors)

The Baseball Season consists of 3 Parts: Regular Season Games, Tournament of Champions, All-Stars

Tournament of Champions

Starts Immediately following Memorial Day; runs for 2 Weeks

Farm AA Tournament
- a more competitive end-of-the season tournament within Hollywood Rose City Little League. This tournament will be arranged by the league and generally runs through the 2 weeks after Memorial Day. In Farm AA we don't normally keep score, but Farm AA TOC there is score kept. Teams are broken into multiple PODs, top teams from each POD move on to a Bracket round. Final 2 teams in the Bracket play at Erv Lind Stadium for a Championship Game during Closing Ceremonies, usually the Saturday after the last PPS day of School, which is usually the 2nd Saturday in June.

Minors and Majors (inter-league - including Wilshire Riverside, North Portland and Parkside) - The Tournament of Champions (TOC) is our annual end-of-the season event which interlocks with surrounding Little Leagues.  The TOC will be co-arranged among the neighboring Little Leagues and generally runs through the 2 weeks after Memorial Day and through the last day of school. Teams are broken into multiple PODs, top teams from each POD move on to a Bracket round. Final 2 teams in the Bracket play at Erv Lind Stadium or Riverside (depends on the year) for a Championship Game usually the Saturday after the last PPS day of School, which is usually the 2nd Saturday in June.

All-Stars:

Practices Start early June, Games start end of June, end mid-late July depending on Division

Minors and Majors Players Only

HRCLL works hard to provide a fair and balanced regular season experience for Minors/Majors players. At the end of the year, we look to field competitive All-Star teams at each level. Our league All-Star Policy invites all Minors/Majors players to apply for selection to the All-Star team. Each year ALL Minors/Majors players vote to choose 1/2 half of the selected All-Star rosters from kids who have put their name in the hat to be chosen. The other half of the roster is selected by ALL Minors/Majors Head and Assistant coaches. All Minors/Majors coaches are invited to apply to be Head or Assistant All-Star Coaches and all coaches who put their name in are evaluated by existing coaches, with the final vote done by the the League Board (as outlined in our All-Star Policy

HRCLL Looks to field the following teams each year for post-season play:

1) 10/11/12 Year Old (YO) Little League All Stars (can advance to Williamsport, PA)

2) 9/10/11 YO Tournament Team (can advance to State Championship)

3) 8/9/10 YO Tournament Team (can advance to State Championship)

4) 10/11/12 YO Honors Team(s) (District Tournament operated by District 4)

5) 8/9/10 YO Honors Team(s) (District Tournament operated by District 4)

HRC has been very successful in the past, winning multiple District and Honors Tournaments. The All-Star experience is invaluable, something your kids will remember forever. Kids will practice multiple times a week to prepare for the tournament, and many kids grow more during the All-Star practices than they do during the entire regular season.  We encourage ALL Minors/Majors kids to put their name in for All-Stars and represent their league and neighborhoods.
